The Trust archive is the repository for the records of the National Trust of Australia (NSW). Established in 1945 and the first National Trust in Australia, it has been a leading organisation in the conservation movement in New South Wales. Archive records reveal a history of the community movement to preserve significant paces for all Australians. Records include individual buildings, landscapes, cemeteries, industrial and moveable heritage items in New South Wales. Also contains comprehensive histories of significant properties as well as their conservation.

Special library holdings consist of: 4600 books, reports, theses, 140 videos, 40 sound cassettes and sets of topographical maps. Trust Archives and publications: 32000 paper files, 6500 National Trust of Australia (NSW) publications and ephemera including flyers brochures, books, seminar papers, submissions, 70 videos, 2000 house inpections, 75 sound cassettes, 140000 photographic slides, 49000 photographic prints, 600 plans of Trust properties, 200 CDs, 22 16 mm. moving films.
